Subject: Cool dive site
Guys,
Will and I dove Carmel Meadows on Sunday. It was a really nice dive site. We'll have to all go there again some time. As you probably know, Carmel Meadows is really North, North Monastery. You park by the day care center or whatever it is probably a 100 yards north of the normal parking area. It's a bit of a hike down to the beach so this probalby isn't something you'd want to bring doubles to. Anyway, it had a really nice kelp forest that was sitting on some interesting rocks and then as you went further out it starts dropping off with a pretty big wall on the left. We didn't make it, but if you went far enough you would start overlapping the stuff we see on a normal North Monastery dive. In fact, I might be kind of fun to do it as a one way trip. Bring two cars, get all set up in the back of of my truck and then drive over to the Carmel Meadows parking area. Do the dive, come out on the N. Monastery side and then drive over to pick up my truck afterwards.
